What do you do that’s different from the million other photographers on the market right now?
There aren’t quite a million photographers in Eastern North Carolina right now, it just seems like it. Not all of them are qualified to do what they do.
Here’s how we’re different: It’s about the experience with us. We’re laid-back people and we provide a laid-back, fun experience. Of course great photography is involved too, but you can look at our portfolios and determine that for yourself.

Blog: We have a behind-the-scenes blog where we go over some of the stories that you can’t see just by looking at our images. I have no idea what I’m looking for. What does everybody else buy?
We get a lot of brides who have no idea what they’re looking for. That’s fine. That’s why people hire us: We’re here to help.
Most brides book our eight and ten hour coverage packages. You can have us at your wedding and we won’t miss a thing. We do offer a five hour package, but with that you need to pick and choose what you want covered, which can be pretty tough.
One of our most popular merchandise products is a guest book. Our guest books have pictures from your engagement session (which is included in every package) and make a great keepsake to show people for years to come. Certainly much better, and much more creative, than a traditional lined book that’ll get stashed in the attic.
Our most popular merchandise product after the wedding is our wedding album. They’re handmade in Italy and have a stainless steel cover. They’re pretty darn impressive (if I do say so myself).

How can I buy merchandise after a shoot?
We have a lot of really neat products that we sell like handmade Italian wedding albums, canvas wraps, guest books, etc.

How do you keep up with the latest photography happenings?
We’re serious about photography education. Keeping up with our education allows us to bring the best possible photography to our clients.
We’ve been members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the world’s oldest and most respected photography organization, since before Open Aperture Photography was even founded. You can even check out Find-A-Photographer page on the PPA site.
What is your coverage area?
Our standard area is the heart of Eastern North Carolina. Based in New Bern, we cover Greenville NC in the north to Jacksonville NC on the southern edge. We also cover from Kinston in the west to the beach in the east (Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, etc).
We’re also available for travel for a custom quoted travel fee. We’ve done weddings in Arizona, Florida and Pennsylvania, so you can have us just about anywhere that your wedding will be.
